Ripple Effect

Catalysts for Stronger Communities

For decades INS, through the Iowa Independent Telephone Companies (ITCs) and Iowa Area Development Group (IADG), on behalf of the Rural Electric Cooperatives (RECs), have provided leadership, vision and commitment to local communities. Today, INS and IADG have formed Ripple Effect for the ITCs to assist in strengthening local development initiatives.

Right Action. Right Now.

Ripple Effect, funded by INS and implemented by Iowa Area Development Group (IADG), provides a portfolio of financial and technical assistant program options for business and community development through rural Independent Telephone Companies (ITC) and their development partners. Ripple Effect offers flexible guidelines for securing financial contributions that must be matched by a financial commitment from the ITC and its local development partners.

These matching funds will leverage the best chance of success for a project proposal, and the Ripple Effect technical assistance will help communities work through the funding and economic development resources. In addition, project and business plan analysis will assure that ITC investments will be wisely applied.
