Iowa Network Services Acquires Alliance Technologies
July 15, 2008 (West Des Moines, IA) – Iowa Network Services, Inc. (INS), a network of independent telephone companies that provides telecommunications services to rural Iowans, confirms today that it has acquired a majority equity interest in information technology company, Alliance Technologies, Inc. as of June 30, 2008.
INS offers customers telephone and internet services, enterprise services to businesses, high capacity network circuits, video programming through Digital Entertainment Television, and quality support services. Together with Alliance Technologies, INS will increase its portfolio of services and have the ability to utilize additional resources provided by Alliance Technologies including software and Web development, enterprise server hosting, database development and management, and enterprise IT support capabilities.
Alliance Technologies operations will continue as normal and there are no plans to merge facilities or operations. The company will continue to operate with its current management team, employees and organizational structure.
The acquisition will benefit current and future customers with the combined portfolio of projects, services, personnel and expertise allowing both companies to continue to grow and become more efficient. INS and Alliance Technologies will also be able to utilize each others’ services in certain areas, such as IT support, database consulting, network provisioning, and dedicated Internet access.
